The group of postdoctoral fellows at the University of Pittsburgh was established to promote collaboration and fellowship amongst researchers in the field of neuroscience and related disciplines. The group is open to post-doctoral and non-tenure members of the community and is designed to address issues relevant to this particular training period. The group meets on a monthly basis to discuss topics of scientific and professional development.
There are many organizations on campus that address several of these issues that we direct our community toward. Also, we have the opportunity, with the large Neuroscience community at Pitt, to fine-tune some of the resources for our specific needs.
Arriving at a new destination is always difficult. When you entered graduate school, there were several other people in the same position and finding your way together became a little easier. If you’re moving to Pittsburgh, we’d be happy to help you find a neighborhood in which you’ll be happy, find the local grocery store, and identify community organizations that address your needs. Let us know when you’re arriving, and we’ll get in touch with you regarding your move. Feel free to check out the "Cool Pittsburgh" link on the right.
Whether you’re new to the neighborhood, new to the Pittsburgh neuroscience community, (or overlooked by our initial survey of CNUP postdocs!) let us know how to contact you and keep you informed of the events in the CNUP postdoctoral calendar. Please click here to subscribe to the mailing list (or click here to unsubscribe); just click send when your default email program pops up.
